Sid Milech has been the Director of the Y Country Camp since 1994, and was the recipient of Federation CJA’s 1998 award for Professional Excellence. Married to Elaine Wisenthal and the father of three children – who have all been staff at YCC in past summers - Sid is himself a ‘graduate’ of Montreal Jewish camps. Aside from his extensive background in camping (former co-founder and co-director of Redwood Day Camp), Sid is past principal of JPPS and has also taught Jewish Studies at Bialik High School.

Stephen (Rabin) Rabinovitch, in his 4th year as Associate Director, has actually spent the last 20 summers as a camper, counselor, supervisor, and Assistant Director at YCC. Stephen graduated from the University of Western Ontario (UWO) in 2001 with a degree in Political Science and in 2005 was awarded the Lori Stein Memorial Staff Award at the YMHA which recognizes outstanding leadership and dedication. Stephen’s attributes as a dedicated and creative camp administrator, and as the guiding force behind our annual Fashion Show Fundraiser, have made him an outstanding role model for our campers, counselors, and future leaders. This upcoming summer, Rabin will not only have his wife Miriam (who he met at YCC) and Golden Doodle "Madden" up at camp, he'll also have his 3 month old child at YCC

Stu Guttman. Stu, in his second year as our Assistant Director, will be overseeing Senior Side for the 6th summer. A Psychology graduate of Concordia University, Stu works closely with our supervisory team and shares his experience, programming excellence and unique ability to always be available or lend a hand to everyone at camp.
